§ Heroes Park / Pioneer Park

Open Space Planning and Development: This project involves the planning and development of Pioneer Park and Heroes Park. A concept plan will be prepared and will include a detailed design plan, site investigations, construction plans, specifications, landscaping and irrigation plans, and will incorporate community consultation. The plan will be implemented as stage 2 of the project. The development will provide unstructured recreational opportunities for the local community as well as tourists and will link the park to existing tourist attractions.   

§ Riverfront Reserve

Open Space Development: This project involves the redevelopment of three riverfront reserves which were identified in the Sustainable Recreation Management Strategy. The reserves are: Bolto Reserve, Haythorpe Reserve, and Hogwash Bend Reserve, all of which are camping grounds. The development of all three sites will include designated parking, installation of signage, rubbish bins and steel in ground fireplaces, provision of toilet facilities and revegetation of the site.
